Alma de Chiapas is a collective cooperative that unites small coffee-growing groups across the Chiapas region under shared values of sustainability, equality, and empowerment.Created as an umbrella organization for Fair Trade and Organic certification, Alma de Chiapas helps farmers grow not only coffee, but also opportunity. It supports local producers through training in business, finance, and quality management, helping them transition into independent, certified members of Impacto Transformador.

The farms in Sul de Minas are small to medium in size, typically ranging from 10 to 150 hectares. Many have been farmed by the same families for generations, passing down their deep knowledge of the land. Their dedication and care result in beans that truly capture the essence of Brazilian coffee—smooth, flavorful, and naturally comforting.

Sustainability Rooted in Empowerment

Beyond producing exceptional coffee, Alma de Chiapas is driven by a mission to uplift rural communities through education, fair pay, and sustainable practices.

By nurturing farmers’ skills and independence, the cooperative ensures that each generation inherits not just fertile soil, but a thriving future.

Through organic farming, eco-friendly processing, and community-centered programs, Alma de Chiapas strengthens both the local ecosystem and the lives of those who depend on it.
